Here it is - the goodness freebie which i had given a big ho ha about :)

I had to snoop around 4 shared a bit hence the delay. I must say the comment on my previous post by LifeasDinkers helped me focus. Thanks

The goodness kit has been triggered by the inspiring designers of the digi world and by our good Lord who has been good to me and family. The software that helped was Illustrator and especially the watercolour brushes.

The preview does not show all the elements and papers...

I hope to come up with an add on and alpha soon.

Its been a while since i bid adieu to the digiscrapping world to do a diploma course for a year....but i could really never keep away from the digi sites and forums. And many designers and their works continued to inspire me even when i was not actively digiscrapping.

I dont know whether i will get back to digiscrapping like i did before...but i am never gonna be able to be away from it for long....and as a proof of that...this freebie is going to be yours soon.

A site called penscrappers.com - a community cum marketing site for Bamboo and similar products. Its awesome....and if you win a challenge you get a great product too. Really worth checking out. One needs to do a layout with a kit they offer. The kit for this month(which is free by the way) is by Simply Tiffany. This is what i came up with.....sigh...lol

I am doubly glad that the layout below was my first to be published. It reflects my faith and it was done for a challenge at PickleBerryPop. It is also a scraplift of a layout by Froggy who is a super creative scrapper.

that is just what i did..... and here is the photo. This is my paternal grandmother. She is Mercy aged 96 and she is source of strength to our entire family. My two sons are blessed to be able to interact with their great grandmother. She teaches them verses from the Bible and constantly reminds them to pray. She has very long hair still. I caught this photo as she was walking back to her room from the living room.

for the absolutely shortlived designer in a store in digiworld... well i had fabulous support from the girls at K-joi..but i just dont have the time and i am not quick enough to complete all my design duties in the way i want to.So...i will continue to design but not sell right away....learn all the ropes.. blinkies, banners, siggy's, raks, add-ons, challenges, give-aways, challenges and whatever else might crop up for some more time. also need to do the juggling act with my freelance work, kids, dh and ds (no...no..not darling second but digiscrapping!!)

To celebrate this realisation -- i would be giving away my first complete kit in parts soon ....

With the weight of my mind.....i did a few LO's . LO 1 is with Weeds and Wildflowers stuff mostly and LO2 is with The digi chick stuff. And both are for challenges respectively. LO2 is a scraplift !

Now that the contest is over...i have some free time at hand....the contest results are not yet out...
Unfortunately the site went down due to heavy traffic -- Kara has really put on a brave front -- hope they are able to sort out soon. The contest was a great learning experience & I am glad i joined -- Kara of kjoi enabled a friendly atmosphere and gave us so many tips...i learnt more of photoshop last month than the entire of last year.

Last of Colour Riot...Paperpack Freebie

This layout is done with the papers/frames of last of colour riot freebie. Did this for the minimalist challenge at digichick. They do come up with lovely challenges. The fonts used are Darcy Baldwins - found at Digichick store. Since the papers are high resolution...one can easily recolour them with the desired effect. I have included the four primary colours in the free pack for convenience. Its hard not to go on and on with Colour Riot....it is my first kit...and i am still not very sure about a lot of things.... I hope the alpha worked alright. And I have decided that in future that I will pack each element and alpha into seperate files. If anyone can tell me on how to manage the size of the files...will be greatly appreciated. What is the ideal size for papers....alphas....how to save it as pngs. Ok here are the papers and doodle frames...and from now on i hope to work on a different theme or idea... Click preview to download. ..

Bright and Bold Freebie

In the past few months of digiscrapping I have learnt that butterflies, flowers and frames are used a lot in digiscrapping. Here is my interpretation of these elements in colours that are bright and bold (common here in india)... In the above layout I have used just a few of my elements to brighten the layout .. backround paper from SP Promise collection. In the first layout - I have used frames from JM Crazy Challenge freebie and background from Aprilmouse - Jarni. In the layout below...I have used the more of the colour riot elements..background paper by me....done using PSP CS2.

I have been doing quite a bit - shifting house, a couple of newsletters, school started for kids, redone a little bit of interiors...not much time to blog. and yes i am hoping to release my own freebie as soon as possible.. now for some of my layouts. I recently discovered wedigidareya and it left me quite inspired. Here is what I created for their challenge. This is a road just 30kms away from the city where we live in...and it is a beautiful example of a quiet countryside.
